Our Coffee

All of our coffee comes from South America, but where it takes on its bold distinctive taste is at the expert hands of father and son duo, Martin and David Sanctuary who we have partnered with for the Monte Bianco coffee range.

We were very keen to partner with Martin and David given their combined 60 years of experience in the art of coffee roasting, particularly as they have preserved the traditional drum roasting methods that give a more full bodied and aromatic flavour to each roast.

For our Monte Bianco range we have hand selected 5 roasts that each deliver a unique flavour profile whilst maintaining the versatility that we look for in our shop - with each roast working well either served black or with milk.

We generally favour chocolate and caramel notes in our coffees, with some darker chocolate through to lighter chocolate notes coming through in each roast depending on the bean type and roast level.

Our House Blend, Brunswick, comes from Brazil and is a carefully crafted blend of beans that delivers a rich, smooth flavour. Sourced from some of the finest coffee-growing regions, this blend features beans that are hand-selected for their exceptional quality and taste.

Brunswick offers a complex and well-balanced cup of coffee that is a perfect choice whether you prefer your coffee black on with milk.

Our Ravello Single Origin comes from Colombia, offering notes of milk chocolate, digestive biscuit, with a light caramel note on the finish.

We use the Colombian Supremo bean which is renowned for its exceptional quality and rich flavour profile. Grown in the breathtaking landscapes of Colombia, this coffee is cultivated at high altitudes, contributing to its unique characteristics, and distinguishing it as one of the finest coffee varieties in the world.

The coffee beans used to produce Colombian Supremo are grown in altitudes ranging from 1,200 to 2,000 meters above sea level. These high-altitude regions offer optimal conditions for coffee cultivation, including a cooler climate, ample rainfall, and nutrient-rich volcanic soil. These factors combine to create an environment that produces coffee beans with exquisite flavours, exceptional acidity, and a well-rounded body.

Our Santa Rosa Peruvian blend, is the coffee that we most regularly serve in our shop as we love the well balanced but complex flavour delivery of these medium roast beans.  The nutty and chocolatey flavour notes, rounded out with some red fruit notes mean this delivers a great taste when having as a black coffee or served with milk.

Our Single Origin Blonde Roast, Carmen, is perfect for those looking for clean and delicate flavour notes with a lower bitterness level.

Our blonde roast offers notes of milk chocolate, digestive biscuit, with a light caramel note on the finish.

For our blonde roast we use the award winning Santos Beans from Brazil, with a slightly shorter roast time which allows the coffee's origin characteristics to shine through.

The single origin coffee beans are hand-picked and dry processed, which involves removing the beans from the cherries once dried
